About Male Breast Reduction
Many men have gynecomastia, or enlarged breasts. For most of these men, no amount of dieting or exercise will significantly improve the appearance of the chest. Having a less-than-masculine chest can limit your clothing choices and keep you from participating in activities such as swimming or running. Dr. Rose performs male breast reduction for Utah men who want:

The Procedure
In most men, enlarged breasts are a result of excess fatty tissue and breast glandular tissue. In some cases, liposuction alone can provide all the reduction and shape that is needed. This involves inserting a small tube, called a cannula, to suction out the excess fat and decrease the size of the breasts or chest.
When a greater degree of reduction is required, or when there is more sagging skin, surgical removal may be a better option. In this case, a small incision is made, usually around the nipple, through which the excess tissue, fat, and skin is removed. Liposuction may be incorporated into this procedure as well, which results in a tighter, flatter, more toned looking chest.
