Vaginal laxity is a part of the aging process, resulting in a loss of elasticity and youthful plumpness in the labia tissues. At The Rose Clinic, we provide non-surgical labia tightening with FemiLift to renew the vitality, youthfulness and health of the intimate tissues.
What is FemiLift?
FemiLift is a non-surgical treatment that utilizes lasers to renew and restore the labial tissues without painful treatments and recovery time. FemiLift tightens the vagina and labial tissues and treats stress urinary incontinence.
What causes labial laxity?
The loss of elasticity and firmness in the labial tissues happens as a natural part of aging, but there are other factors that can contribute to this concern, including the following:
- Smoking
- Childbirth
- Surgery
- Obesity
- Hysterectomy
Smoking, childbirth, and these other factors replace the natural collagen in the skin with fibers that are not elastic and do not stretch properly.
How does FemiLift work?
The FemiLift laser works by applying concentrated thermal heating to the inner layers of the intimate tissues. The heat therapy deeply triggers the production of collagen and elastin, the two proteins that rebuild and repair the skin and achieve firmer, healthier, stronger tissues.
What happens during the procedure?
During a FemiLift procedure, the laser is carefully run over the vaginal tissues. No anesthetic is required, as the treatment is comfortable. However, a topical anesthetic can be applied if you would prefer.
A round probe is then gently inserted into the vaginal canal. The probe emits a laser once every centimeter as the probe is slowly turned. This achieves full coverage, treating the entire vaginal area and canal. Patients typically report that there is no pain, but they feel a warming sensation.
Most patients should expect to have two treatments spaced two to four weeks apart. However, up to five treatments might be required to achieve your goals.
Is there a recovery period after FemiLift?
Patients require no downtime after a FemiLift procedure. There is no recovery period, although, over the next day or two, you may feel a warm sensation in your vaginal canal. This is a normal side effect that will subside. We recommend waiting to have sex for the first two to five days after your FemiLift treatment.
What are the benefits of FemiLift?

Who is a candidate for labia tightening with FemiLift?
Women who would like to have firmer, more youthful-looking labia are candidates for FemiLift. We will have a private consultation with you to understand your aesthetic goals and determine if FemiLift is best for you and how many treatments would be required to achieve them. Ideal candidates meet the following requirements:
- Are generally healthy
- Do not have an outbreak in the treatment area
- Are not on their period
- Do not have severe pelvic endometriosis
- Do not have an STD
- Have not had a baby in the past three months
Results after FemiLift
After a FemiLift treatment, patients will notice tighter, firmer labia, a general improvement in their vaginal health, a decrease in recurrent vaginal infections, better lubrication, reduced urinary stress incontinence, and a tighter vaginal canal.
You may notice some results initially, but because the body is rebuilding its tissues naturally with the boost in collagen and elastin, it may take up to three months to achieve the full benefits of a FemiLift treatment. Results last for up to two years.
