If you’d like to have a firm, attractive figure, it may be time to consider a lower body lift.
The knowledgeable staff at The Rose Clinic in Provo, Utah can help you explore possible modifications to your lower body to restore a smoother, trimmer, more attractive shape.
Lower Body
Lift Procedure
A body lift requires a several incisions, and the length of the incision will depend on the extent of the body contouring work to be performed. The incisions will be placed strategically so they are hidden by most clothing or swimsuits. Once you are ready to begin, the body lift procedure consists of:
Anesthesia
General anesthesia is administered by a licensed anesthesiologist for your comfort and safety during the procedure.
Incisions
Your incisions are typically placed along your lower abdomen and your lower back. The placement of these incisions will allow for modification of the abdomen, waist, groin, thighs, and buttocks.
Technique
The underlying muscles in each area will be pulled tight and attached to create a flatter, sleeker profile. Excess skin will also be trimmed away. The buttocks and lateral hip and thigh are elevated. Occasionally liposuction is performed along with a lower body lift to enhance the results and extract excess fat.
Closing incisions
Once the procedure is complete, the incisions will be closed and bandaged. You will have tight garments and drains will be put in place to help remove any excess fluid that accumulates over the healing process.
Once your procedure is complete, you will be observed overnight until you are in a condition to return home. The lower body lift procedure will require several hours to complete, based on the extent of your procedure. Before you are released your doctor will provide detailed aftercare instructions to manage your recovery and healing.
