Over the last 10 years, fuller and shapelier buttock profiles have become desirable, prompting women to seek out surgical options to achieve rounder, higher, plumper buttocks through surgery. Some women were born with a flat or disproportionately small derrière that appears out of proportion with the rest of the body, giving an unbalanced, less attractive body contour. Pregnancy, weight loss, aging, or genetics can leave the buttocks area looking small, flat or saggy.

A buttock enhancement procedure may require placing implants, or the use of your own extracted fat. Dr. Kevin Rose, owner and head surgeon of The Rose Clinic in Salt Lake City, Utah, is familiar with women’s concerns and uses state-of-the-art surgical practices to create a rounder, plumper backside that looks and feels natural in his Utah Brazilian butt lift.

Who is a Good Candidate for Buttock Enhancement?

Some women have trouble finding clothes that fit as the buttocks are out of proportion, or they want to add curvature for a more appealing look. If you have negative feelings about your body, and the look of your buttocks leaves you feeling self-conscious, you may be a good candidate for buttock enhancement. Discuss your medical history and any medications you’re taking with your doctor during your initial consultation to help in determining whether you are a candidate for a buttocks enhancement procedure.

The Enhancement Procedure

There are two types of buttock enhancement procedures. You and Dr. Rose will review the treatment options and determine which treatment is appropriate for your individual condition. The two types are:

Autologous Fat Transfer

Also known as a Brazilian butt lift, this type of procedure involves extracting fat from another area of the body to enhance the buttocks. Liposuction is used to remove fat from another part of the body, such as stomach, thighs, flanks, or back. The fat is then purified and prepared for transfer. This procedure has the added benefit of trimming unwanted fat from your body, for a more sculpted look. The purified fat is then skillfully injected into the buttocks area to add lift, roundness, and volume.

Buttock Implants

For those who don’t have adequate excess fatty tissue, the rounded look can be achieved with implants. An incision is made in the buttock crease and a silicone implant is inserted and positioned to create the plumper look desired by the patient. Once the implants are in place, the incision re closed, and the procedure is complete. This is often combined with some fat transfer as well.

Both types of surgery involve a few weeks of recovery time. Your healing will be monitored, and more vigorous activities such as exercise can be slowly added back into your daily routine. Side effects are mild and managed with pain medication. Dr. Rose will provide detailed aftercare instructions and schedule follow-up appointments to watch over the healing process.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19 View Update Virtual Consultation

PRACTICE POLICY UPDATE REGARDING COVID-19

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update April 1st, 2020

After serious consideration and in line with the recommendations of our State and Centers for Disease Control (CDC), we are closing the practice until April 25th.

Your health and well-being is our primary concern and we want to do our part to make sure that you are protected.

Effective immediately the following will occur:

  • All procedures and in-person consultations will be suspended until April 25th.
  • The office will be fully staffed, and we will see our urgent post-surgical follow-ups.
  • We are instituting Virtual Consultations for all potential patients.
  • Many surgeries are rescheduled and some of the ones that are committed will occur on a per case basis.

No patient will ever have any financial recourse for rescheduling their procedures.

We are constantly updating our services and staffing according to the local and national recommendations and will always place your health and well-being as our top priority.

We continue to exercise all the latest recommendations that are handed down by the CDC. These include:

  • The staff has been fully informed and trained to understand the disease process and its modes of transmission.
  • All staff, vendors and ancillary personnel are being asked to refrain from coming to the office if they have any signs or symptoms of a cold or an upper respiratory tract infection.
  • Every patient is also being asked to refrain from coming to the office if they have any symptoms.
  • We are asking our patients about any pertinent travel history.
  • Hand-washing continues to be the most important mode of prevention. Although it is a part of what we constantly do, now we are doing so with heightened vigilance and attention.
  • We have instituted a “no handshakes no hug” policy for now.
  • We have asked all vendors that any unnecessary meetings are canceled until further notice.
  • Any exit and entrance from our office are followed by a protocol of changing shoes, scrubs and sanitization.
  • As we are an accredited medical facility, we are constantly sanitizing all surfaces. We have now vamped that up and our routine, multiple times a day, wiping down all surfaces, desks, door handles, keyboards and restroom facilities. We have assigned a person that does so on a constant basis.

Although COVID-19 is a serious issue, we strongly believe that it will pass and hopefully make our infrastructure and our ability to deal with pandemics in this Country even better than it currently is. We are monitoring this situation on a real-time basis and will not sit back until we know that we have done everything possible to avoid unnecessary exposure.
